Quick start
The Microsoft Marketplace listing is under review. Installation links will be added here when the listing is public.
- Install LeaseCanvas from its Microsoft Marketplace listing once published, then add it to a Power BI report.
- Bind Floor and Suite.
- Add optional fields progressively.
- For Lease Expiry and As-of Date, select the date column itself rather than the automatic date hierarchy.
- If your model contains multiple properties, use a single-property slicer.
Prepare one record per suite
The expected grain is one record per Property + Floor + Facing + Suite for the reporting snapshot.
Filter or aggregate transactions, lease amendments, historical snapshots, and maintenance ticket rows to suite grain first. Repeated suite records can produce duplicate units or misleading totals.
Field reference
| Field well | Requirement and meaning |
|---|---|
| Floor | Required. Nonblank text recommended, such as B1, G, Mezz, 5, or PH. |
| Suite | Required. Nonblank suite identifier within the property, floor, facing, and snapshot. |
| Property | Optional; strongly recommended for multiple properties. Select one property per visual. |
| Floor sort | Optional numeric field defining physical floor order. |
| Facing / wing / zone | Optional grouping, such as East or West. |
| Suite sort | Optional numeric order within each floor and facing. |
| Floor use | Optional category, such as Residential, Office, Retail, Gym, or Parking. |
| Tenant / label | Optional block label. A blank may imply vacancy if no explicit status is supplied. |
| Size / metric | Optional positive numeric field or measure. Omit for equal suite widths. |
| Lease expiry | Optional date for expiry classification. Use the date column, not the automatic hierarchy. |
| Occupancy status | Optional explicit status. |
| As-of date | Optional common date for repeatable calculations. Otherwise, today’s date is used. |
| Additional tooltips | Optional descriptive fields and measures. |
| Summary text measure | Optional Pro text measure for a visual-level summary. |
Expiry and month-to-month
Month-to-month is an optional classification based on a configured number of calendar months after Lease Expiry. It is off by default.
Vacancy takes precedence. Missing expiry remains Unknown. This reporting classification is not a legal determination or a substitute for contractual status.
Free, Pro, and performance
Free supports up to 50 valid units per visual instance after current report filters and slicers. A larger dataset is allowed. Above the limit, filter the view or use an assigned Pro licence when available.
The planned Pro offering uses named-user licensing through Microsoft Marketplace and assignment through Microsoft 365 admin center. Final purchase and trial details will be linked when the listing is public. If verification fails or an environment does not support licensing, Free behavior applies and saved Pro settings remain preserved.
A performance advisory appears above 2,000 displayed units. The current technical ceiling is 30,000 returned rows. These are safeguards, not promises of smooth performance on every device.
